.SYNOPSIS...
High temperatures for inland areas will gradually cool through
next weekend, but remain above average. A shallow marine layer
with dense fog for some coastal areas may deepen some during the
week with night and morning coastal low clouds returning to
portions of the western valleys.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Wednesday)...
Gradual slow cooling is expected through Wednesday with high
temperatures falling from 12 to 18 degrees above average today for
portions of the mountains, deserts, and inland valleys to 10 to 15
degrees above average for those areas on Wednesday, around 105 on
Wednesday for the lower deserts and mostly in the 90s for the
inland valleys.

The marine layer remains below 1000 feet deep early this morning
with low clouds and fog over the coastal waters extending into
coastal areas with dense fog near higher coastal terrain. The
marine layer may deepen slightly through Wednesday, but with night
and morning coastal low clouds and fog not extending inland past
the far western valleys.

.LONG TERM (Thursday through Sunday)...
Thursday may warm slightly followed by renewed gradual cooling
into next weekend with high temperatures for portions of the
mountains, deserts, and inland valleys still as much as 5 to 10
degrees above average for next Sunday, around 100 for the lower
deserts and in the mid 80s to lower 90s for the inland valleys
with the beaches around 70. Night and morning coastal low clouds
and fog will extend inland into portions of the western valleys at
times.

.AVIATION...
071000Z...Coast...Low clouds and fog based at 100-400 feet MSL with
tops to 800 feet. VIS 0-1SM between those elevations. Clearing 16-
18Z, but low clouds and areas of fog to persist at most beaches,
with only intermittent or partial clearing. Low clouds and fog
around 200-500 feet MSL will move ashore after 01Z with a similar
coverage for early Tuesday.

Otherwise...FEW to locally BKN clouds based at 12000-15000 feet MSL
will continue today, most likely BKN over mountains 19-00Z.

.MARINE...Areas of fog with visibility 1 nm or less this morning
and again tonight. A Marine Weather Statement provides the details.
Otherwise, no hazardous marine conditions are expected through
Friday.
